Ensuring Academic Year Readiness

The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Sifi Ghrib, saw the participation of key cabinet members, including the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Minister of National Education. The discussions specifically focused on preparations for the upcoming social and academic year, with particular attention given to the university year 2026-2027. Discussions showed the necessity of ensuring all school transport and catering services are fully operational from the first week of the academic year. It was emphasized that all necessary measures must be taken to ensure these services are available in the best possible conditions from the very start of the school year. Officials stressed that these provisions must be available under optimal conditions to support students across the Republic.

Attention was also given to the higher education sector, where measures implemented to facilitate a suitable reception for new university students were reviewed. These preparations encompass the provision of essential pedagogical and material resources. These measures specifically include providing all necessary pedagogical and material requirements to support student learning and development. Additionally, the readiness of university structures and facilities was examined to ensure they meet the required standards for the incoming cohort. The government also confirmed that various university services would be guaranteed to support the incoming student cohort, ensuring a smooth transition into higher education.

Boosting Investment Through Real Estate

The Prime Minister's discussions also covered the national strategy for boosting investment through real estate. This roadmap is designed to establish a national portfolio of economic real estate that can be readily mobilized for development. The overarching objective of this initiative is to contribute to the national goal of completing 20,000 investment projects by the year 2029. The meeting specifically discussed the process of inventorying and clearing economic real estate, a key step in this broader strategy.

The strategy encompasses five principal axes aimed at streamlining the use of economic land for investment. These axes include the completion of a full national inventory of economic real estate assets, providing a clear picture of available resources. Concurrently, efforts will focus on digitizing the governance of these assets to enhance transparency and efficiency in their management. The roadmap prioritizes the legal clearing and recovery of real estate, ensuring properties are unencumbered for development and ready for investors. Preparing these sites and connecting them to essential networks also forms a critical part of the plan, ensuring they are ready for immediate use. The final axis involves strengthening governance, leadership, and inter-sectoral coordination among relevant bodies to ensure effective implementation and smooth execution of the strategy.

Context and Objectives

The process aligns with the President's instructions, which aim to encourage investment and provide economic real estate to investors. This directive emphasizes the strategic importance of making land assets available to facilitate various investment projects across the nation. The government's actions reflect a commitment to utilizing real estate as a catalyst for economic growth and development, directly supporting the President's vision for national economic expansion. This initiative is central to fostering a conducive environment for both domestic and international investment, driving job creation and economic prosperity throughout the Republic.
